Guess who hoarded another makeup palette from BH Cosmetics? This girl!
No, but seriously guys this palette has been so hyped for nearly 2 years I thought it was finally time that I got my hands on it.
Just look at it! The art and design of this palette is so adorable and cool! And the colours and aaa, it's just so amazing and for £7 it's really something I couldn't pass up. I wear almost every single ones of these shadows on a daily.
The colours themselves are actually one of the reasons that I was drawn to this palette in the first place. The reds, pinks, shimmers and neutrals are all so gorgeous to look at and the textures of them are buttery and they blend like a dream. They can also be buildable to get a high pigmentation.
The other reason as to why this palette caught my attention is the cute galaxy theme. Each shadow is named after a planet or something to do with space and each of the shades are shaped as little planets!
Onto the shades!
(A/N: Swatches coming soon, My camera doesnt pick up my pale arm very well)
SUN, JUPITER, PROMETHEUS AND APHRODITE.
These shades have a gorgeous burgundy/dark red colours and tones to them. they're so gorgeous on the eye and the texture of them are so buttery and they blend nicely. I usually use Jupiter all over the lid, sun in the inner corner, Aphrodite as a crease shade and Prometheus brings a nice shimmery/glitter to complete the eye look.
Aphrodite is a gorgeous dark red/burgundy shade and I usually pair this with a prometheus which, is similar just very shimmery.
Jupiter and Sun are usually my under eye and inner corner shades. Sun has a very gold hue to it and Jupiter is a beautiful orangy red colour.
MILKY WAY, COSMIC, SATURN AND VENUS.
Milky way and Cosmic are the ultimate shimmery pastel shades. I was actually amazed when I saw how shimmery these colours are. The only problem that I have with these shades is that that aren't as pigmented colour wise but, are overly pigmented glitter wise (does that even make sense? they're just really glittery basically)
Saturn and Venus are also very lovely shades to add to an eye look, Venus is a shimmery orange colour which is actually a very unique in my collection. Saturn is similar to Sun in a way, just more of an orange based shimmer to it. I usually use this shade to add shimmer to a look and a little spark of colour.
METEOR, COMET, EARTH, NEPTUNE.
Meteor and Comet are the only shades I was disappointed by in this palette. The looks of them gives the impression that they're going to be beautiful turquoise based colours but, its mainly just blue shimmer and they aren't very pigmented. Regardless, these are gorgeous colours that I would add over a look for shimmer or even a highlight shade.
Earth and Neptune are also on the spectrum of being good and bad. Starting with Earth, this shade is slightly more pigmented than Meteor and Comet so, it does have a slight blue colour to it but, it it once again mainly shimmer. It DOES work for an all over eye shade though. Neptune is a gorgeous dark blue shade which works very well in the crease or even a whole over eye look. It's not AS pigmented as it looks but, it does work just as well for a gorgeous smoky blue look.
MERCURY, MARS, ASTEROID.
AT LAST, NEUTRAL SHADES! well, kinda. There isn't anything matte about this shades at all for a start, more of a neutral shimmer look? I know quite a few of the people I follow on instagram are currently rocking this trend so maybe these colours are for you. I personally am not a huge fan of neutrals mainly because, i like my looks to be out there but, when I tried these on my lids and with looks they worked really well together.
Mercury is a gorgeous shimmer shade which has slight reflects of brown and silver in it, I would recommend using this to add a little shimmer to a matte eye look. Mars is a kinda matte shimmer shade. It's dark brown and works very well for a crease or for the under eye.
Asteroid is a shade that confused me because, I honestly had no idea if this was going to be a blue shade or a brown shade (the marble effect on this colour though is just so..hhhhggggggn) Its actually brown with slight blue reflects in it, very subtle though so it isn't too crazy. I used this in my inner corner to make my eye makeup kinda POP.
ELECTRA, MOON AND PLUTO.
Finishing up with this palette I present you the last shades!
Electra is very similar in colour with Meteor. It works beautiful as a highlight shade or maybe even a inner corner shade if you're feeling risky. The blue isn't too in your face either, it's more kind of a soft light blue shimmer shade. I guess.
Moon and Pluto are the final shades and they are certainly mainly for the crease. Looking at them in the palette looks quite alarming to see how dark they are but, don't be alarmed! They may be dark but, they aren't DARK. They add depth to your looks. Moon is a dark shimmery brown shade but, (sadly) the shimmer fades after a while and you're left with a beautiful dark brown shade. Pluto also looks very dark but, trust me it really isn't. It's a perfect mix between dark and light. I use this almost everyday as a crease shade or sometimes I use it as an all over shade. It's a very dark blue/black colour that looks gorgeous and finishes up a makeup look with a hint of colour.
Overall this palette was amazing and is very fun to play around with if you like having different shimmers! The price isn't bad either, for £7 it really is something I would recommend picking it up and creating your own shimmery space princess looks.
Hope you all enjoyed this long winded review, I had so much fun photographing this palette and if I could I would totally upload 50 pictures of it. The shades photograph so well it's unbelievable. ANYWAY, Pick up this palette, it's so hyped and it deserves to be.
Have a good day/night! <3
